Palpitation In Left Side Of Abdomen, Having Pacemaker Implanted 4 Years Back. Taking Throxine Sodium. Suggestions?
I am a 43-year old Indian male, and quit smoking 14 years ago. A few days back, I first started to have a strange palpitation in the left side of my upper abdomen just below my rib cage. Now I used to have it several times a day (70-100 times may be). I have a dual chamber rate responsive pacemaker implanted 4 years back(due to third degree AV block) and take thyroxine sodium (to combat hypothyrodism) rosuvastatin and beta blocker. I afraid it may be a serious problem, and really worried about. I heard about AAA and really worried. Please help.
You should see your cardiologist – lead position and the pacing threshold need to be checked and may need adjustment.../ ECHOcardiogram and Doppler study of the aorta may also be necessary...
Thyroid may have been over-corrected – TSH and T-4 should be estimated again...
Take care Wishing speedy recovery God bless Good luck
