Painless, Itch Free Bruise Like Areas Inside Both Arms. Regular Use Of Cetaphil For Cleansing. Any Information?
My husband is a 41 year old with few health problems. He has developed painless, itch free areas on the inside of both of his arms. The coloring is that of a bruise, but there is no pain associated. The areas are approximately 2" x 4". He does not recall injuring himself. His medical history consists of rosecea and osteoarthritis, both of which are controlled and is currently not on any medications. His skin care is of utmost importance and he uses Cetaphil for cleansing and moisturizing daily. The bruise like areas have been on his arms for about 10 days with no reduction in size or color. I am looking for any information regarding these strange areas as he is beginning to become concerned. Thank you in advance for any advice you may offer.
Hello, Thanks for the query. Bruise can be due to low platelet. Get his platelet levels checked. Application of cetaphil wont help much. Instead apply oint thrombophobe. This will help to remove accumulated blood. He will recover soon.

If the lesions persist, please meet a dermatologist. Thank you
