Painful Vein, Bulging. What Is It?
I have what I think is a vein on my right side, about 3 inches long, hard to the touch and painful if I touch it or stretch to reach for anything or lay on it. Just started about 2 weeks ago. I am a 37 year old female that has been nursing on the left side only for over a year now. no bruising but you can see the bulge over my ribs

Any pain and swelling of the vein indicated inflammation and infection.
By history it seems to be like thrombophlebitis.
Hot fomentation of the area will relieve the pain and swelling.
