Painful Spasms In Esophagus While Swallowing. Have Myasthenia Gravis. Cure?

I have painful spasms in my esophagus when swallowing. It used to be lower, or rather in the upper mid-chest region, but now the spasms are higher, at my throat. I have Myasthenia Gravis. I will swallow one bite or sip of liquid and get it down, then a spasm will start and grab my throat. If I have anything in my mouth I have to spit it out because my throat won't open! The pressure builds up so intensely, the pain is severe, and it feels like something might actually rupture. Afterwards, (maybe a minute or more) I have lots of mucous and am very sore there. This happens many times a day with solids and liquids.

Hello friend!
This spasmodic episodes are because of the myesthenia gravis. it appears you have class 3 and above symptome. moderate to severe myesthenia. are you eye muscles also imvolved?
All you need is a management for your myesthenia and some tips to avoid exacerbations.
But first treatment with medicines
1-Ache inhibitors
pyridostigmine/neostigmine,
short term use of steroids
azathioprine for maintenance
cyclosporine methotrexate if severe

2-IVIGs - Intra Venous Immunoglobulins

3-Plasmapheresis
to be used if above two cant control symptoms or plan for surgery or crisis

4-Thymectomy
if you are above 10 or below 55 years age , this is a must done procedure. we doctors recommend it prophylactically.

Now some tips
- thicken your fuids abit. too thin fluids will continue the dysphagia symptoms you currently have

-stay as active as possible.
-take a lot of breaks in activities for rest. i would say every 15 mins breaks after every 30 mins work.
-avoid sustained physical activity, as exercise induced fatiguabality will worsen your symptoms.
-watch out for complications like osteoporosis, cataracts, hyperglycemia, weight gain, avascular necrosis of hip, hypertension, opportunistic infection because of the immunosuppression required to manage myesthenia.

I am sure this will be a help.
i wish you good luck and get well soon.
I will be here if you need me.
