Painful Neck, Slept In Awkward Position, Shooting Pain, Had Heart Attack. Suggestion?

About two weeks ago I started having a pain like a "crook" in my neck, on the side of my neck, like I had slept wrong. But it hasn't gone away. I haven't changed my pillow or anything like that. I am getting shooting pains now in the side of my neck and wondering if it indicates heart problems as I have heard that women get different pains than men when a heart attack is imminent. I am 63, used to be a smoker.

Hello,
thanks for writing in.
As you have not provided complete details of your heart attack and its treatment, we are going only by what you have said.
The neck pain due to wrong sleeping posture will be more of musclular pain in nature and increased by movements.
The cardiac pain is generally stabbing in nature and doesnt have any relation to pain.
Please consult your cardiologist if in dilemma to rule out cardiac cause of pain. Then perhaps you could take constation from an orthopedic surgeon as required.
Hope this helps.
