Painful Lump On The Lower Forehead. Normal MRI Report. Need To Be Worried?

What is the cause of a painful "lump" that appears on lower forehead above one eye---lasts about 10-15 minutes. Spot stays sore after lump goes down. It appears around night -time as preparing for bed [but can appear at other times]. No coughing, sneezing, etc. Very puzzling. No eye problems or dizziness. The MRI shows nothing that would cause it. Thank you....

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query,

definitely it is quiet puzzling,

It can be urticaria, but urticaria never presents with just a single lesion.

Also it is not so recurrent.

Another diagnosis which can be thought of is mastocytoma.

It is localised collection of mast cells, but occurs more frequently in children.

A biopsy can give definitive diagnosis.

Let me know you have any other doubts.

Please meet a dermatologist for final diagnosis.

you can ask a direct question to me on this forum, following the below link.
