Painful lump on inner thigh. What could this be?

I have a red lump along my inner thigh/bikini line area and it s somewhat painful. It feels like I have a skittle underneath my skin. I m not sure what it could be or if it s merely an ingrown hair ... I have also been experiencing pains in my right leg (the same side as the lump) that are sharp and achy that hit only one area at a time and its the size of a pen I suppose... Are they related? Do you have any idea what either could be?

Thanks for the query.

You might have developed furuncle.

These are deep bacterial infections.

Treatment is with antibiotics.

You can apply a topical antibacterial cream like mupirocine.

Also do hot fomentation,

It will help in pointing of pus and will reduce pain.

Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
