Painful Labia Minora, Hurts While Touching. What Could Be This?

I am a 21 year old female and have been with the same partner for a year and a half now. My labia minora suddenly started to feel raw and painful yesterday and isn't any better today. It mostly hurts if something touches it, even underwear. I have no other symptoms and have not had sex for at least a week. I searched online and vulvodynia seems to be the only thing that makes sense- but the horror stories of this diagnosis have me concerned. What do you think this could be and how can I treat the pain safely and effectively?

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having some bacterial infection on the part giving rise to this problem.
Consult your doctor and with a course of antibiotic mrdicine you will be alright.
Keep local hygiene clean, dry and airy.
Apply antibiotic cream locally.
Ok and take care.
