Painful, Itchy, Swelling On The Left Ear, Cracked Skin, Flaky, Nodes On Neck. What Could Be This?

I have a very painful, sometimes itchy, swelling on the left ear (front upper quadrant) for four or five days, The skin has now cracked open in two small places and the surrounding skin is beginning to flake and peel. I just noticed today that there are two nodes on my neck (the same side as the ear). Any clue as to what that might be?
