My 13 yr old daughter had surgery on an ingrown toenail 4 days ago. The doctor cut the edge of the nail, removed it and then killed the nail bed. She began experiencing pain and tenderness last night. Today it is slightly swollen, draining clear fluid , red, and tender to the touch. Could this problem be solved with soaking it in Epsom salts or Boric acid solutions. Her toe was infected with a staph infection before the surgery. She is also currently suffering from Mono.
