Pain Rib Cage After IUD Insertion, Hard Lump Near Spleen

I am a 22 year old female with a 5 month old daughter. I have an IUD inserted and have just started to work out at a regular basis. About three weeks ago, I noticed a sharp pain in my left side under my rib cage. The pain was short and then it went away and I have not really thought anything else about it. Lately I have noticed a small, quarter sized lump underneath my left rib cage around the spleen area. The lump is directly below the last rib and sort of feels like it is behind it a little. It is relatively hard with no movement, also it seems that my left ribcage is higher (sticks out further) than my right. Is there a major cause for concern? Does it have to do with me working out? pulled muscle? fatty liver? Can you please help me out?

Though pain abodemen is the major side effects of IUD insertion, if the pain is very severe, it is possible that the device may have been incorrectly placed in the uterus. Further severe pain could also be due to perforation of uterus. Pain could also due to infection. Hence i feel that a pelvic x-ray must be taken to rule out perforation. If the pain is associated with vaginal discharge, abnormal bleeding, we should suspect pelvic inflammatory disease and it needs aggressive treatment. Therefore, Consultation with a gynecologist is strongly recommended.
