Pain & Rattling Sound In The Back After Slightly Pulling A Muscle In Lower Left Back?

I slightly pulled a muscle in lower left back. When i rolled over in beck the next night i heard a tearing sound. I could hardly move, couldn't lay down, kinda hurt to walk & couldnt take deep breaths. I took 3 200 mg neaproxin (sorry for spelling ) n finally got to sleep. Now when i lay down on my back i feel
pain & get a rattle when i breath. Is it something serious?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

The symptoms suggest that your back muscles have gone into spasm ('tightening of the muscles').

There is nothing to worry about : a short-course of anti-inflammatory pain killers, such as, ibuprofen; and, muscle relaxants, such as Chlorzoxazone; in addition to hot compresses (hot water bottle) and rest will relieve you of the problems.

Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me and will prescribe the advised drugs in appropriate doses.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.
