Pain, Pressure In Both Ears, Right Ear Severely Infected, Swollen Lymphnodes. On Antibiotics, Any Alternate Treatment ?
I went to the doctor a week ago because of pain and pressure in both of my ears. My right ear was severely infected and the left mildly. I ve taken my antibiotics and a perscription decongestant . But, the pressure is still very bad in the right ear, slight high pitched ringing, and now my lymphnodes seem to be swollen and painful from the right ear all the way down my neck . Do I need to go back to the doctor.
Hello I am Dr Ravinder Sharma ENT surgeon
On the basis of information provided it appears tha tyou may have a
1.Dental cause -Any history of toothache or any operative intervention on tooth
2.Tonsil infection - Tonsil and throat has common innervation with ear
3. Ear infection is also possible - Throat and ear are conneted by eustachian tube. So infection of throat may spread to ear and can cause pain in ear and lymphadenopathy
I suggest you for a ENT consultation to come down to the diagnosis. I hope this answers your concerns. Feel free to contact me if your need more information on this
With warm regards
