Welcome to HCM
There are two possibilities as you haven't mentioned the time since your surgery and the the type of surgery you had.
1. If it was a local procedure then the injection was a local anesthetic
to anesthetize your nerves supplying to the local area. The symptoms resolve with time as the drug clears the nerves but it usually resolves withing 1-3 days.
2. If it was a general surgery under general anesthesia
or the surgery was performed more earlier than the mentioned time then there are chances that the injection may have damaged your nerve causing post injection neuritis
. such nerve damage
is permanent. However physiotherapy
of the affected part is recommended.
