Pain In Throat, Chest, Back. Taken Antibiotics And Ibuprofen. CT Scan Shows Fluid In Lungs. Underlying Illness?

I went to the ER twice last week for pain in throat, chest & back. Pain is more intense when I inhale. My breathing is short & fast. . First Dr said it's possible pneumonia but I have not been coughing. He gave me antibiotics & ibuprofen for pain. I went to see my primary 2 days after & was ordered to go to the ER for further testing. She suspected blood clot. ER doctor did different tests. The blood test showed positive for blood clot so a CT scan was done. CT came out negative for blood clot but showed fluid in my lungs. I was sent home and was only given a stronger pain medicine. It's been a week since my 1st ER visit & although the pain has now gotten better, there are instances when I almost faint &/or black out. Also, I have pain in my lower left leg & have been sweating in my chest area and back. Could this be another underlying illness?

Hello,

Fluid in the lungs can mean Pulmonary edema, hydrothorax or Pleural effusion.

First two conditions are medical emergencies and need to be given inpatient care.

Pleural effusion based on the volume may need ICD.

cause of the fluid collection needed to be established for effective treatment.

Consult a Pulmonologist.
