Pain In The Toe. Do I Have A Broken Bone?

Hi, my big toe has been hurting me lately. It ll sometimes feel very sensitive and I ll feel these mild surges of pain that last for 5-30 seconds. My friend accidentally kicked my toe very hard when I was 15, but Im 16 now and now Im suddenly feeling this pain. The pain isn t too severe, no where near the point where I d consider getting it thoroughly checked out but I m still curious now. I ve been getting these pain surges for about two months now, and I get them maybe once-3 times a week. I think my toe bone was cracked when it got hurt, but what I dont get is why would I suddenly be feeling this pain at 16? My toe got hurt over a year ago. What could be going on?

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

There may be some tissue injury like ligamental or muscle injury or even nerve damage which has not recovered properly due to improper rest and management. So this may be causing you problem even after a year or there may be new injury which you dont recall. Get one Xray done and consult your doctor for examination once and management. Now dont over exert it and give complete rest. Use correct fitting shoes with soft sox. Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.
