Pain In The Teeth, Roof Of Mouth With Swelling Causing Intense Pain While Eating. Cause And Cure?
Hi, I am not to sure if it is my teeth . cuz they are hurting at all it is specifically the roof of my mouth. Swollen and when i try to eat it becomes intensely painful, I have to stop eating. I was reading that it could be from malnutrition . On sat I went out with out night. I only had breakfast that sat morning which was a slice of toast, then went drinking and woke up and tryed to eat mcdonalds breakfast and it was like my roof of my mouth was inflammed with soreness and tenderness

Inflammation and swelling at the roof of mouth may be due to-
Deep caries or periodontal infection of the associated tooth.
Prolonged use of dentures or appliances can also cause such inflammation.
The pus has to be drained out completely and curetted well.
If necessary,root canal treatment has to be done.
Take amoxycillin as well as metronidazole tablets.

Okay pain in the roof of mouth or palate can be triggered by various reasons and sometimes raised sores can cause discomfort while eating & talking.the side effects gets aggravated when you wake up and try to eat food.
Here are several possible causes like:
1.exposure to bacteria can cause canker sore
2.substances that are irritating to the flesh can cause the roof of the mouth to become inflamed
3.Drinking excessively hot beverages can burn the roof of the mouth
4.Tooth on the top of your mouth has become infected, it can put pressure on the palate. A tooth abscess can cause ulcers or an infection to develop which may spread to the roof of the mouth if it is left unchecked
5.Burning mouth syndrome -cause may be unknown
6.ill fitting denture can cause irritation and inflame the roof of the mouth
Visit to your will find out the cause and treatment will be planned.
