Pain In The Right Groin Especially While Coughing. Found A Lump In The Groin. Prescribed Medicines. Right Treatment?
For the last 2 months I am having pain in the right groin. It initially started with mild pain occasionally lasting for about ten minutes. This used to repeat after a few days at random intervals. The pain occurrence increased over the following days and i felt it increased if I stood or walked for a long time. Now a days I get shooting pain(severe burning like feeling ) when I sneeze or cough. Now a days While passing motions when I exert a bit I feel air is pumped into the right groin area. Some times I feel this while coughing. Since I am diabetic and also had a angioplasty in Feb 2013,I am under drugs for both and may be because of this I was having hard stools which in turn made me strain to pass stools.I consulted a Urologist who felt that I need to take care of my constipation and prescribed laxatives to ensure that I do not strain while passing motion. On observation he found a small lump in the groin area, which he described as beginning of Hernia, and it is small.I also showed it to my physician and he is of the opinion that I do not have hernia and it may be some muscular pain and some nerve pulling in the groin area.He has prescribed Emanzen-D and Rablet -D two time for one week and if the pain persists then we can go for a sonography to investigate in detail further. Can any one suggest whether the treatment is correct and which specialist Doctor I need to consult in future if the problem persists.
this is correct treatment in my opinion again as hernias have same sign and symptopms and nerves pressure can cause pain you need to clear all sorrounding effects which can trigger it like coughconstipation pressure etc f evry trigger is clear then we can think of treating hernia to prevent its recurences
