Pain in right hand, swelling, bruised veins. Causes for symptoms?

Hi, since last night at around 5pm noticed a pain in my right hand? I ignored it and carried on with cooking but with alot of struggle. Then when I actually looked at my hand it was swollen and so were the veins to a point where my hand looked bruised. It s still very painful now and veins still quite swollen?? What could these symptoms mean? (female - 25 yrs old)
