Hi there ~ I understand your concerns. Pleuritic pain, i.e. pain when you breathe deeply is a sign of pleuritis which can happen after a lung infection also known as pneumonia. I believe that you will do well with over the counter medications like aleev or motrin as the condition may not be systemic and probably localized like costochondritis, or inflammation of the junction of ribs with the rib cartilage. Sometime muscle spasms may also cause this kind of pain. You do not need to be overly anxious about your condition.
