Peyronie's Disease is caused by scar tissue, called Plaque which forms along the length of the penis in the Corpora Cavernosa, This plaque can cause the penis bend , making sexual intercourse difficult and occationally painful.
The underlying cause of peyronie's disease is not well understood, but is thought to be caused by Trauma or Injury to the penis usually through sexual activity although many patients often are unware of any traumatic event or injury.
The disease occurs mostly in middle- aged men, younger and older men. In some cases, men who are related tend to develop peyronie's disease, suggesting the disease may be genitically linked.
For men peyronie's disease also caused stress and anxity.

1. since it is diagnosed as Peyronie's disease,what was the cause of the pathology: accident, Sex, or indulgence in athletic activity?
2. As might be the cause,due to this,your penile shaft after healing has got scar tissue which have lost their flexible ability during erection and as a result causes PAIN.
3. Common problem faced by people with it can be Erectile Dysfunction (ED) since erection causes pain which limits Sexual intercourse with the partner.
4. Peyronie's disease is also associated with high blood pressure,under active thyroid,depression, high cholesterol, please check with your health care provider about the same.
5. Since smoking causes arterial narrowing,it can be a contributory factor in causing Peyronie's disease.
6. Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) is one non surgical option prior to surgery.
7. You can take Vitamin E rich food (tomatoes,avocado,mango spinach) or Capsules which helps in treating Peyronie's disease.
