Pain In Navel, Blood Mixed Mucus Excreted From It. Do I Need Medical Attention Urgently?
Good day doctor Recently I ve had a little pain around. Nave l aaanddd know it just got veery bad insidee the navel, for 2 dayss. Today early in the morning I ve noticed alot of blood mixed in a light yellow mucus being excreted from the navel but the pain inside the navel has stopped what is it. And do I need medical attention urgently? It seems my younger brother aged 25 also has the same prob for some years now.
Gone through your problem diligently.
An infection on your belly button (omphalitis) can cause smelly discharge and blood from the navel. A visit to your doctor and an examination will confirm the condition.
And he may start you a local antibiotics and/or a local disinfectant.
Sometimes these features suggests a fistula formed between the GI tract and the navel. But it is a rarity with a 2 days history and in absence of any previous surgery or piercing.
I think i have cleared all your doubts.
All the best. Get well very soon. In case any further querry, you are welcome always.
