Pain In Heart Area, Breathlessness, Increased Heartbeat. Anxiety, Stress Or Panic Attack?
Hello, I have been having some light dull pain in the heart area as well as shortness of breath, sometimes i felt my heart pounding very heavily. I am trying to stay calm and I had this happen about 2-3 years ago and the cardiologist said I was ok. It may be just anxiety , stress or panic attack. I have an appointment next Tuesday.
Stress- Anxiety- Panic- are all in the same spectrum... / could well be responsible for your symptoms... However, it is often an exclusion diagnosis and investigations are often advised and preferable... EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance. You have not stated your personal habits, family history, or co-morbidities, even age, gender...which could have an influence on the diagnosis and outcome... The treating doctor may suggest depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.
Take care Wishing speedy recovery God bless Good luck
