Pain In Base Of Throat Extending To Chest To Back, Better While Sitting. Possible Esophageal Reflux?

I'm experiencing a pain in base of throat (like a lump) extending to the chest and ending up in my back (like a stabbing pain). Could this be esophageal reflux related? I'm better off sitting straight not lying down or walking around. It seems to be easing off a bit now. I've had this before usually at night and can last from 30mins to hour.
