Hello Saroja,

Thanks for posting on HCM

The big answer is NO, you are no longer a virgin. Your hymen is not still in tact as the act of penetrating the first time ruptured it and hence rendered you not a virgin. The pain during the first act came as a result of small vaginal orifice and presence of hymen. After penetration, since the vagina is a elastic, it expanded (with pain) and the hymen broke. YOU MUST NOT BLEED THE FIRST TIME OF HAVING SEX. Note also that, your hymen can be broken even with your fingers or any sex instruments such as vibrators and this will also render you a virgin. It is true that most women experience pain and vaginal bleeding immediately after, but some women do not experience that. Some women who experienced childhood abuse and probably forgot as time went on, will not experience bleeding. But that should not call for any worries, just continue with your sexual life.
