I was stung on the heel of my foot by something 2 weeks ago. The stinger was about half inch long and looked like a black hair. It was embedded in my foot. Got tweezers and pulled it out. Felt like a bee sting. Now, 2 weeks later I am experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort in my foot. Went to Urgent Care, had X-rays, they said it was swollen but didn't know what to do but keep off my foot for awhile. Suggested a podiatrist. I think the stinger broke and is still in there, very painful at times, getting worse. I don't know what to do now. Don't feel that this is a case for a podiatrist but need relief now. Please help! It does not hurt to touch and no redness, but obvious swelling. Hurts to move it certain ways. Sometimes sharp pain, other times aching or stinging.
