Pain between shoulder blades, numbness in fingers, swollen lump near wrist posts neck surgery for herniated disc. Cause?

I had surgery done on my neck for a herniated disc of C-6-7 had a fusion during surgery they find some bone spurs and took care of that as well. I am four months out now I am having bad pain between my shoulder blades and still have numbness in my fingers. I also have three lumps on my forearm one near my wrist swollens often. Any idea what is going?

Thanks for writing to us.
The symptoms you have described are likely to be due to a nerve compression in the area.
Sometimes local soft tissue swelling also produces such changes. An MRI of the neck will help in finding out the exact cause. Oral methylcobalamin supplements will help in symptomatic relief.
