Pain And Weakness In Arm At Night, Neck Pain. Cause?
HI Doc, I am 29 Y old Male. from last couple of days i am feeling pain and weakness in my left arm . The pain triggers during night and i am unable to sleep properly. I had some pain in my neck right side 3-4 weeks ago which i though will go after sometime but i am still feeling a bit pain in my neck. Now i am started feeling pain in my left and right arm. Is that something which is caused by my neck pain . Do i need to consult a therapist. Please advise. Cheers Amit
After reading your post, it seems that you are having your symptoms due to cervical spodylosis.
In this the pain from neck can be radiated towards arm, back or head.
I would suggest that you should get a MRI of your neck done and consult an Orthopedician.
Physiotherapy is helpful but should be started under the supervision of the orthopedicain.
Hot fomentation and application locally of pain relieving gel will be beneficial.
Avoid very thick pillows and donot lift heavy weights.
Also donot work on computers for long durations and dont bend your neck forwards while working.

Hi Amit, Thanks for writing your query. After reading your post, it seems that you are having your symptoms due to cervical spodylosis. In this the pain from neck can be radiated towards arm, back or head. I would suggest that you should get a MRI of your neck done and consult an Orthopedician. Physiotherapy is helpful but should be started under the supervision of the orthopedicain. You can take pain killer like Ibuprofen one tablet twice a day after meals along with a muscle relaxant like Chloraxazone and an antacid like Omeprazole 20 mg. Hot fomentation and application locally of pain relieving gel will be beneficial. Avoid very thick pillows and donot lift heavy weights.
