Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
During ankle sprain, there might be possibility of injury to the superficial nerve fibers.
This might be the cause of tingling.
I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You may get the X-ray/MRI of the area affected under his/her guidance.
Follow the principle of RICE (rest, icing, compression by crepe bandage but not too tight, elevation of foot and ankle).
Hope this information helps you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.
Dr Saurabh Gupta.
