hi.. manohar
this case is partly stress related and partly the food habits and nutritional deficiency. pz rectify all the above mentioned causes . Frequent oil change in food will aggravate the apthous ulcers. folvite tablets rich in vit b and folic acid will give the fast relief following application of dolo ge or mucopain gel for symptomatic relief .

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Saurabh Gupta's  Response
Hello and Welcome to HCM,
Thanks for writing to us.
Pain from a mouth ulcer generally lessens in a few days and the sores usually heal without treatment in about a week or two.
If sores are large, painful or persistent, your dentist may prescribe an antimicrobial mouth rinse, a corticosteroid ointment, or a prescription or non-prescription solution to reduce the pain and irritation.
Avoid hot or spicy foods, which often increase the pain of mouth ulcers.
Hope this helps you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.

hello sir

If ulcers are occurring again and again they might be Apthous ulcers which usually occurs in stress full condition, and very rarely due to lack of nutrition.
the best way is to apply anesthetic gel 4 to 5 times a day and stop having spices in food for sometime....

Hello and thank you for your question.
No there is not a cure for aphthous ulcers at this time. These lesions are still not completely understood in regards to what causes them and how to prevent them. The best thing to do before brushing or eating is to rinse with warm salt water. (1/2 tsp. salt with 10 oz warm water). Swish and SPIT the whole glass, wait five minutes and then brush or eat food.

Avoid spicy foods, citric acids found in fruit and tooth pastes containing sodium dodecyl sulfate (sometimes called sodium lauryl sulfate, or with the acronyms SLS or SDS),

Best Regards

Dr. Ward

Hello,
For mouth ulcers there is treatment as they are self limiting. Your daughter can take multivitamin and vitamic C to increase resistance. There is no cause of mouth ulcers which are called as canker sores or apthous ulcers. But we can do certain home remedies so that the pain caused by them is reduced and the chances of infection are not there. These are:-
Do not eat any thing which will irritate the ulcers. Try to take something liquid or semisolid.
One can apply Aloe Vera juice as it has excellent healing properties.
One can use the mouth wash which is made by boiling the salvia.
Eating kiwi fruits are supposed to have the healing effect on the ulcers. It is said that one should eat three kiwi fruits a day.
One can do warm saline rinses as it will reduce the chances of secondary infection
Applying honey on the ulcer also helps. Honey is also applied on the gums of the baby when the baby is having irritation on the gums due to teething.
It is said that when one has ulcers in the mouth eating tomatoes help. One can even take tomato juice.

Hello,
Oral ulcers are a common problem with many people especially with childre. One of the main causes of it is stress. Other reasons include vitamin B deficiency and gastric related problems. Children usually during the period of examinations tend to get multiple oral ulcers. The treatment is apply dentogel ointment over the ulcer 15 minutes prior to taking food. Apply it 3-4 times a day for a week. The ulcer takes 7-10 days to heal. Take multivitamin tablets dailly for 1 week.

hello
although cause of oral ulcers in mouth commonly known as apthous ulcer is still not specific
but still what i haveseen in clinical practise that it may be due to variety of reasons including stress, harmonal disturbance, deficiency of certain vitamins and minerals etc etc
now most commonly in children , its due to deficiency
so what i would suggest is that you give your child
1.lactovit one tablet daily for atleast 10 days in a month for 6 months
2.zincovit one tablet daily for atleast 10 days in a month for 6 months
mostly these cure the recurrent nature
for immediate relief you can try following
1.luke warm saline rinse 4-6 times daily
2.hexigel on the affected site after rinse
3.mucopain gel to be applied 10-15 min before eating which would bring numbness in the mouth and help your daughter have her meals
hope this helps
best of luck

hello & welcome to HCM,
I just went through your problem & it is known as Apthous ulcers & they are really painful.
Common Causes can be:-
-Improper food habits like taking much of spicy food
-Gastric upset
-Stress problem
-Hormonal changes
-Nutritional deficency
-Improper Oral hygiene
-Lastly if its reccuring then it can be due to some sharp cusp.

What all you need to do is improve her dietary habits like include more of green vegetables & less oily & spicy food.
Also start with Tenvit-Plus capsules along with application of some anaesthetic gel like dologel or Mucopain gel.
You can also go for tetracycline mouthwash.
All these will definitely help you out.
Take Care

Painful, annoying mouth ulcers can pop up anytime, usually during periods of stress or illness.
Use a saline rinse. Rinsing your mouth with a saltwater solution can help disinfect your mouth ulcer
Chlorhexidine gluconate mouthwash: This mouthwash can also heal mouth ulcers.
Fluocinonide gel (Lidex):apply this gel 3-4 times on ulcer.
