Oral And Vaginal Sex, Sore Throat, High Fever, Body Pain, STD ?
I had unprotected oral , anal and vaginal sex on Friday the 13th and by late Monday night I started to notice that I had a sore throat . I woke up this morning with a really high fever, sore throat and my whole body ached. I m wondering if this could be an STD and if I should go and get it checked out? Or if I should just wait it out and see if I get better?
on analysing you seem to be suffering from pharyngitis which can happen because the organisms of the anal and vaginal tract might have gone into the throat.
it is better to start of with an antibiotic at the earliest.
please consult a GP or an ENT surgeon ASAP
The biggest concern in this situation would be gonnococcal phayngitis. This can be very serious. However it is also very treatable. I think you should definitely go in to get it checked out and be sure to tell the doctor that you've had unprotected sex (including oral). There may be some further questions about the order in which you did them (e.g.. having oral sex after either vaginal or anal sex), which can cause very different kinds of infections, and therefore require very different antibiotics. Bottom line: Go in to get it checked. And ALWAYS use protection! I hope all ends up being well.
