On Yawning Ear Popped Up Violently And Hurting Badly. Tried To Un Pop, Severe Pain And Ear Felt Strange And Sore. What Is Causing It?
i yawned and my ear popped rather voilently and hurts really badly and when i tryed to un pop it by pinching my nose and breathing in through it it hurt even worse and prevented me from doing it, i finally plucked up the courage to un pop it and it was an intense pain afterwards my ear felt starnge and a bit sore im not too consernd but id really like to know whats goin on. please and thankyou =]

hello,do not try to unpop.if you do this air which is normally present in the middle ear will be sucked out through the tube which is present between your nose and middle ear.this will lead to a fall in the air pressure in the middle ear giving rise to pain and deafness.a tube called the auditory tube connects the back of the nose and the middle ear.this tube is always closed,it opens only when we yawn or swallow to allow air to enter the middle ear which you heard as a pop.this is normal so dont worry.
