On Valium For Panic Attacks And Anxiety. Can I Use Busbar? Side Effects?
I have been on celexa for about a month, then was put on valium for panic attacks and anxiety ,i don t care for them and would like to start busbar, can I just stop these meds after a month of taking them and start busbar. I already took them today so I don t know when or how. I wanted to ask my dr. but everthings closed today..didn t know you had to pay on this site
Celexa (citalopram) is an effective drug for anxiety and panic disorder. It takes 6 to 8 weeks at times for a complete resolution of anxiety disorder. Hence, your current trial of one month may not be sufficient to show a complete improvement. Buspar (buspirone) is not effective for panic disorder. Do not change the medications by yourself, it may not be safe and definitely it will not be effective. I would suggest that you continue your medications for the time being and consult your psychiatrist again tomorrow or after the weekend for any dose adjustments that he may have planned. Valium (diazepam) will be tapered and stopped gradually by your psychiatrist after sometime. Follow his advice.
