On Contraceptive Pill Yasmin. Missed Pills. Should I Get Tests Done?
Hi, I have been on the contraceptive pill Yasmin for quite a while now over 2 years. I recently missed two or three pills and since I have my period has not stopped despite the fact that I ve started taking the active pills again. It s been about 12 days Should I just wait it out and keep taking it or should I have some tests etc?

If you have missed 3 or more of the active tablets, you should discontinue the pill until you menstuate then restart the pack when you do. You must use alternative contraception , i.e. condoms , for at least 14 days into the active tablets before you rely only on the pill again. No tests are required for now..

It is better to keep taking the pills again, however consult your gynecologist if the period has not stopped in another couple of days.
