On Aviane. Took Emergency Contraceptive After Intercourse. Concerned About Pregnancy

I have been on aviane (birth control) for about 4 years now. My period just ended Wednesday and I started a new pack that day. My boyfriend came inside me last night but I imiditally took 5 of my birth control and then much later took another 5 (as emergency contriceptive). Also my boyfriend smokes a lot of marijuania, and takes Xanax. Should I be worried about possible pregnancy?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.

If you have taken the contraceptive pills regularly the chance of pregnancy is very less as they will protection for whole month.
And also as you took the pills for emergency contraception the possibility will decrease further.
But your periods pattern can alter as you took high dose of pills.
You can continue the oc pills.
If you took the pills as per the schedule the chance of pregnancy is very less.
