On Atenelol For Irregular Heartbeat. Not Sure Took The Medication Today. Help

I am on 25 mg of atenelol for irregular heartbeat and slightly elevated blood pressure. I can't remember if I took it, and am not sure what I should do. When I skip it, my pulse tends to go pretty high and I have shortness of breath and feel like I've just run a marathon. But right now my reading is115/79 and my pulse is 62. If I skip it, it will be tomorrow evening before I take it. I'm afraid going that long will send me into a tail spin if I forgot it. Not sure what to do!

HI

Atenolol is a beta blocker used in the treatment of hypertdnsion and cardiac .conditions.You are on relatively small dose of meddication , 25 mg is the probably the smallest possible dose as the usual dose is 50 mg.

You can safely take one more tablet if you are not sure whether you have taken the tablet or not, as 50 mg of atenolol ifyou are already taking 25 mg should not be a problem.

All these medications have a wide margin of safety , so you can take one tablet without worrying about any thing.
