On Metaprolol For BP, Having Funny Feeling. Should The Dosage Be Decreased ?

Hello I recently was placed back on my BP meds Metaprolol 25 mg 2 times a day but it makes me feel funny and I already had a minor car accident backing up my car. today I think I should ask to decrease dose, but I also want to know what happens if I accidentally forget to take a dose or if I accidentally take 2 25 mgs. near the same time?

Hi,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic,
You are having high blood pressure and taking Metoprolol twice daily, if you are having any symptoms like feeling funny or dizzy please report it to treating doctor to recheck your blood pressure and adjust the dose according to your need.
If you take double dose it may cause lower blood pressure and may not be effective for 24 hours.
There are slow release preparations available to be taken only once a day. Your doctor may give you and have smooth control of blood pressure.
