Old Female With Fistula From Diverticulitis, Punctured My Bladder, Have Feces In Urine
Yes, hello, I am a 79 yr. old female with a fistula from diverticulitis that has punctured my bladder and of course I have feces in my urine . I have already had a cat-scan and my urologist said that I have a silver dollar portion to remove. But of course I am concerned about the many protrusions I saw in my colon and realize that I will have to have a bowel resection. I live in Grand Haven and have contacted a local surgeon whom I am to consult with on Oct. 22. He did my breast biopsy and also my temple biopsy. The double mastectomy was done at Ann Arbor so I am a little concerned about the general surgeon that I m to see. He does nice work so far for me and the urologist said he has done many colon surgeries. Do you think I should seek a second opinion and see a specialist?

In the medical field and in my line of work, I would be bound to strictly advise you against getting operated on your bowels by a urologist.
Either stick to your general surgeon or visit a gastroenterologist please.
