Numbness In The Thumb After An Accident. Severe Sprain. Need To Go For An X-ray?
Snowmobile accident, Left thumb caught in handlebar and rotated downward to forearm . Local MD said was a severe sprain with a possible break. Currently thumb numb. Is this a worry? No xray was taken. Ice, heat and brace used since event. Naproxen twice daily. Should an xray be taken? 65% of normal range of motion of wrist with returning grip strength.
