Numbness In Hand And Lips, Ct Scan Shows Chronic Condition. Treatment?

Hi I have a friend with a 14 year old daughter who recently presented with a numbness/ tingling feeling in her lips and right hand . According to him she had a CT done which showed something in the area of the motor cortex , he also told me that a doctor suggested the CT indicated a chronic condition. What might be going on with her and what might be the best course of treatment? Any and all input is appreciated. Thank you.

Hi!
Structural abnormality in left fronto-parietal region in brain is likely to have symptoms in right hand and lips. It is important to know what is the chronic condition that has been identified on CT scan, before giving useful inputs. All the same let me try by explaining few things that may have happened ... If she has suffered trauma in the past, brain damage may persist as gliosis and leave some neurologic deficit. Same could happen if inflammatory granuloma like tubercular infection or parasitic infection like cysticercosis has been treated in the past, but they present more often with seizures. I could better answer if more information on the chronic condition is made available.
