Numbness Around Scabbed Area In Ankle. History Of Cut In Ankle With Swelling And Bruising. Serious?

a couple of weeks ago I cut my ankle on the peddle of a bike. it was just a small abrasian but a lot of bruising. It was bruised and swollen and hurt quite alot...lol. But now it seems to have healed quite nicely with a small scab left. However, it is numb around the scabbed area. Should I be concerned about the numbness?

Hi,
When you suffered the injury, the nerves in the area would have been damaged as well. Nerves do not heal as well as skin and muscle therefore, this may result in a numb area. This may recover slowly over the coming months but you may be left with a permanent numb area. As it is the ankle area this is probably not going to be a major issue for you.
I hope information is of some help to you.
