Numbness And Tingling In The Hip While Sleeping On The Back. Worried

I have had (for a while now, maybe close to a year) numbness, tingling, and a bit of pain, in my left hip when I sleep on my back or my left side. (And now happens when im driving, or sitting in chairs) Within the last week, I've started having hip pain too, in BOTH hips. The pain is causing me to limp a bit. I am scared, and not sure what my next step should be.

Welcome to health care magic! Your symptoms seem to point to a nerve compression which has a variety of causes that need to be evaluated. Numbness and tingling most surely favour a nerve problem. The cause of the nerve compression has to be evaluated. You ll need to consult an Orthopedician who might have to see where the problem lies- in the spine/intervertebral discs/ hip by subjecting you to X-rays/MRI and to rule out other causes of paraesthesias. Get well soon! Take care!
