Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

Numbness can be a symptom of a neurological problem, but the area of numbness which you have described (over the abdominal area alone) don't seem to corelating with any specific neurological problem. Moreover, you have mentioned that you have been seen by a doctor and told that everythin, including the blood work-up is normal.

In such cases, when medical and neurological causes have been ruled out, it is important to consider the possibility of a psychological cause. Anxiety can manifest itself with not only psychological symptoms, but with physical symptoms also. So, if you are persistently having these symptoms, despite a normal medical evaluation, or if you may be under a stressful situation, then it would be worthwhile to have a psychological assessment to explore the possibility of a psychological cause.

Wish you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Jonas Sundarakumar
