Number Of Fat Balls On Arms And Thighs. What Is Causing This? Any Treatment?

Hi.. My husband has these small balls which when he had previously consulted a doctor was identified as fat balls. Initially it they only existed on the left forearm and his right upper thigh but now they are in quite a number on the left thigh and right arms too.. I am concerned as to what exactly is causing this and if we would have to undergo any sort of treatment or so...Please advice..

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.

Your husband is having Multiple Lipomas over the body. There are no medicines to prevent or treat Lipomas.

They can be excised if they are painful or enlarging in size. They should be excised particularly in the regions of Inner aspect of the thigh,Back of shoulder as they may turn into cancer.

If the swelling is rapidly enlarging in size and becomes hard, consult your Doctor .Or else no treatment is necessary. There is no particular cause for this

Dont worry.

Regards
