Numb Bump On Upper Lip, Fluid Bumps On Top Of Lip. Cause?

Hello, I woke up yesterday and discovered a small lump In the middle of the inside of my upper lip . I can t see the lump because its up under my skin, it feels like a knot and it has no color, but it has gotten bigger overnight and feels numb. And now there are small fluid looking bumps on the outside of my top lip. I have had the lump before maybe once a year, but never the fluid looking bumps on my lip. Could someone please tell me maybe what this could be?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
From the description it seems, you could be having a viral infection known as herpes labialis. Herpes labialis usually keeps on recurring at same site due to stress, fever, low immunity etc.
To treat the same use an antibiotic cream two times in a day like mupirocin. Prior to onset of lesion, slight prodromal symptoms like itching, numbness, tingling at site may occur. If at this stage acyclovir cream is used it would prevent its development.
Hope this helped.
Take care
