Noticed Yellowish Crust On The Nipples After Stopping The Breastfeeding, What Is The Problem ?

I am almost 41 and had my son almost 14 years ago. My nipples have always been inverted and breastfeeding wasn't easy at all. My nipples were like an open wound and because of discomfort i stopped breastfeeding when my son was 3 months old. Since then i have a constant yellowish crust on my nipples. What can this be? It is on-going for almost more than 13 years...
