Noticed A White Flaky Substance From Ear Due To Ruptured Ear Drum
My wife has severe pain in the side of her face and a white flaky substance around the perimeter of her ear canal. The doctor said it was a ruptured ear drum, but I don t think that is the case. The white stuff in her ear almost looks like dried soap. What do you think?
It seems you are afraid of your doctors words. Let me try to help you out from this situation.
White flakes from a painful ear usually due to a infected foreign body or debris coming from a fungal infection. In an unusual situation it may be due to a disease called Cholesteatoma which is a somewhat not good condition of ear, but this takes months to develop and associated with foul smelling scanty discharge from the ear.
In your situation I would visit a ENT specialist for a proper examination of the ear before taking any medications.
I hope my answer cleared your agony. Please fell free to clear any further doubts regarding this situation.
Thanks for the way you are in my life.
