Noticed A Ovarian Cyst On The Left Ovary

Hi. I have some concerns regarding the results of my tranvaginal ultra sound.

A year ago below are the detailed findings:
"There are anechoic structures noted in the left ovary that measures 1.2cm., 2cm., and 1.9cm
Left ovary measures 4.3x3cm"

Just last week, i had the similar procedure done and i now got these result as stated below:
"Withinthe left ovary is a unilocular thin-walled anechoic structure 4.7cm. x 6.6cm. x 6.5cm. Representing an ovarian cyst. Left ovary measures 6.8x7.9cm"

Should I be worried about this?

Please advise on what should I do or what to expect.

Thanks in advance!

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi and welcome,

I understand your concern. The cyst has grown in size and hence it is unlikely to get resolved. So it is better to get it removed as the size is more than 6 cm and warrants removal. The description is in favor of a non cancerous cyst and simple laproscopic or open cystectomy will help in cure. So kindly discuss this with your doctor and get it removed as early as possible.

Hope this was helpful. Fell free to ask any further queries and I will be happy to answer.
