Normally a couple is only assessed for fertility issues if they have been trying to conceive for at least a year. At this point both persons can be evaluated.
There is a condition called polycystic ovarian syndrome which is associated with increased weight, infertility, cysts on the ovaries, insulin resistance, abnormal hair growth.
It is diagnosed with blood tests measuring the levels of various hormones and also by an ultrasound looking at the ovaries.
Hi,
It is important to know many things about your married life to ascertain the cause first. Overweight could be a factor but it generally is not the only cause there could be other things also in combination. It has been seen that due to stress at times people gain weight and the entire hormonal cycle gets disturbed which may lead to any problem, so we need to rule out that too in your case. Better you see a qualified Obstetrician and a Homoeopathic physician, Homoeopathy also has good results in such cases.
