Non-smoker, Have Heaviness In Chest, Cough, Frequent Burps After Trying Smoking And Alcohol. Cause?

I am a non smoker. At a party I tried smoking and ended up smoking (trying to smoke) 3-4 cigarettes at one go. I had a lot of alchohol. Now it has been 3-4 days, I still feel heavy in chest . Feels like I have a cough . And I feel the constant need to burp (which doesnt come ) to feel better. Please suggest what is wrong. I am very tensed.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thanks for the query
This is all due to the excessive intake of alcohol. It is more dangerous to take alcohol with smoking. Now to get rid from it try taking antacids like ENO, PPI inhibitors like Omeprazole and drink more water.
Take anti-emetics like ondansetron to control you nausea and vomiting.
If you have any fever than you may need a course of antibiotic. Feel free to consult your doctor and get treated. Meanwhile take semisolid fresh diet and curd and lassi as much as you can.
Hope this will help you.
Best Wishes

Psychiatrist Dr. Jonas Sundarakumar's  Response
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

Your symptoms may be indicative of a gastric irritation due to the alcohol and a respiratory tract irritation due to the smoking. Please see a doctor for a physical examination and further treatment advise. And please avoid trying these out again as it can cause harmful and dangerous consequences.

Wish you all the best.
